NZ AD REVENUE STEADY AT $2.2 BILLION

The Advertising Standards Authority today reported that advertising revenue across all main media was 2.224 billion dollars for the 12 months ending 31 December 2006. This is a small decline of 5 million dollars or 0.2% on the 2005 total of 2.229 billion.
The executive director of the ASA, Hilary Souter, said that there were some interesting trends in the revenue information, including the continued growth of outdoor and online advertising, while a number of the more traditional advertising media had seen a small decline in revenue. The turnover includes data from newspapers, television, radio, magazines, outdoor, cinema, addressed mail, unaddressed mail and online.
The Advertising Standards Authority collects and publishes the annual advertising turnover statistics on behalf of the advertising industry.

As you drive your Remurea tractor to work......the little intern waits.
As you wait for your hot mocca cock chino......the little intern waits.
As as you sit on your fat arse looking at wheather you should order crayfish or duck...................the
    little intern waits.

They sit, work, sweat and hope, that one day you'll make the change and pay them more than half of their rent.

When the ad schools pump out far too many juniors than the industry can soak up, you get to a supply and demand issue.

There are loads of interns out there. When you will get paid, you will be paid half what you might have got ten years ago.

    It's the law of economics.

As for the comments regarding the lifestyles of CD's in NZ - I think that you are living in the eighties, not the CD's.

My advice to you is work harder, get off YouTube, get off the internet, and start thinking.

If you can't make ends meet, get a weekend job. For fucks sake, I did. For two freaking years. If it's your ego that's holding you back, then you're going to be fucked in this industry.

    WTF?
    Are you mental?
Where did I mention that I was talking about CD's?
    Geesh.

Yeah, and another thing. When are you interns going to be taught to actually write? I'm sick of all your award annual ads. Wake up and start writing some retail headlines. Oh, and another thing. Why did you have to go to school to learn how to be creative?

There. That should fire you up.

I'm so sorry I wasn't born a know it all like yourself.
At least I can do something about my condition right?

I bet you play tennis with a wall because no one likes you.

Little interen. Perhaps the reason that you are still an intern is because you can't even construct a decent case to support yourself when under fire from others.

As someone else has written, go back to writing a make believe DPS magazine ad for a small client in Huntly, whose pack shot is the size of and a at tag line is set in 6 point.

    6 point. That's type.

Sorry, you're an adschool grad aren't you?

    Zero skills.

11.01 - There's an old saying in advertising that a man's comebacks are indicative of his headlines. Sorry.
