HARLAND DEPARTS LOWE, HOAR ACTING GM

Lowe Auckland managing director Cameron Harland has left the agency, to be replaced by acting GM, Rob Hoar, the agency's Ops Director and former GAD on Vodafone.
Harland is currently in Fiji for a week and his future plans are not known.
According to Lowe Australia/NZ CEO Stephen Pearson, who located to Sydney from Auckland at Christmas, the departure of Harland has been completely amicable and the agency is in good hands with Hoar. He confirmed that creative director Josh Moore will remain with the agency.
The management change comes at a fragile time for Lowe, which recently pulled out of the Lotteries pitch and is rumoured to be on shakey ground with Vodafone.

I hope Josh hangs in there. He's a good creative, with tons of potential. However he lacked support. There were too many people there doing everything for the first time. Egomania is no substitute for wisdom.

It's a pity, but hardly a surprise. I daresay there'll be more bad news for Lowe before too long.

Off to Fiji, you lucky bugger.

As luck would have it, I've just got off the phone to my good mate Ranjeet Prasaad at the Fiji Weather Service advising me of the forecast for the next week.

Cameron, my advice is to pack a few books, Travel Scrabble, Twister, and the super larger Sudoku annual.

Today: Scattered Thunder storms, high of 28C

Saturday: Showers, high of 28C

Sunday: Mostly sunny, high of 29C

Monday: Sunny, high of 28C

Tuesday: Scattered showers, high of 29C

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: Shit. Showers followed by thundstorms.

I hear Westport is qute good this time of the year, and the annual dog trials are on this weekend.

the good thing about doing something for the first time - like telling the client everything that had ever been done before you arrived is shit - is that the first time is usually the last.

You sound bitter and drunk, just like you were when you worked here.

No debate now that Lowe 'moves units'.

Who is 4:22 then? Or more importantly, who does 11:12 think it is?

At least he didn't get pissed in front of one of his biggest clients, cover him in wine and then pop out of his top and then keep the job. Class move. Fiji sounds much better, don't you think?
