Breaking News

Whybin/TBWA is changing its name to TBWA\Whybin. This is according to the Herald this morning, so it must be accurate. Note the forward-slash is now a back-slash. Or is it? Because in the last sentence the Herald referred to TBWA and used a forward-slash. Could someone from TBWA\Whybin or the Herald's sub-editing deptartment please clear this up quickly before any emails go astray.

I'm really worried about the back slash.

I mean, call me paranoid, but the forward slash really made Whybins feel powerful and awesome.

What with the back slash, I feel that their energy has gone. I mean, the forward slash was so iconic.

This morning, I was charting their future with some seagull bones and dried seaweed, and the great god Hvalstevebarelylegalovbali, told me that at the recent semiotic research done in conjunction with the Wizards and Witches Commune (West Auckland Division), they annoted that their future looked really unspiritual, and that the cheap sharpies of old will be coming back on the pun boat.

Jello, we're not too sure whether it's forward or back, or when in fact you're meant to use it.

If anyone can shed light on this it'd be greatly appreciated. Untill then I might just try out an apostrophe.

We were hoping to sneak this whole thing through without anyone noticing, like the great Bellsouth rebranding of yore - unfortunately all the signwriters are our of forward slashes as no one ever uses them. "Signz and Logoz" out West offered to turn one of their backslashes into a forward slash but we'd probably get into trouble with Lee Clow.

That is all.

Maybe DDB could get a name that didn't sound like a sexually transmitted disease.
