Axis contenders

Still a month to go, plenty of scams still to hit between now and then, but
any obvious contenders for Axis Glory? What's the current hot fave?

I reckon the adidas soccer ball thing will kill outdoor.

I think that the Suzuki TVC is a contender. Happy people smiling to themselves inside and singing as they drive their Suzuki in the sheer joyful ecstacy of the moment. It's original. It's gold.

TV seems pretty light this year. Hard to pick a Gold from the current contenders but for bronze or silver i reckon Mojo's Delissio and MTC's tv guide might get a look. Uncle Ben's rice was pretty funny. It seems like a lifetime ago the Telecom British Lions stuff was solid. Also Colenso's Playboy Mansion Heff stuff - or was that last year? I'd give that gold maybe. Whybin's (welcome back to axis fellas - where have you been?) Adidas and Colenso's one-stop-shop facades will go allright in outdoor and ambient. I also saw some print ads recently from clems for Naim audio 'nothing gets you closer' not just axis worthy but i reckon it has something cannesy about it too. Good luck to them. Don't know about DDB's darth tater. Or McDonalds for that matter. Interested in how the NZ girl hoo-harr shapes up tho. AMP will get kicked out for being lifted from a viral email. Too much controversy surrounding coastguard. I'd give something to the rev parsons for his work on 42below but i don't think he enters awards. Don't think 42below and south abide by LAPS anyway. On that M+C's DB draught rugby print ads with fullas angling to get a leave pass were real funny too. Especially considering they did have to pass laps.

Haven't heard any good radio yet.

Yeah so that's what i reckon. but fuck knows.

I reckon Clems' LTSA falling car TVC might do alright.

Can't figure why TV Guide would have a chance. So it'll probably get gold.

I thought Telecom "make crap ads" was pretty good - probably too relevant and effective to be a contender.

Darth Tater will do fine - hey they got George Lucas to say yes.

Bandana Week muppets? Probably too popular and not whacky/violent/scammy enough. Nice to see a charity spot with big thinking though

The falling car when they actually did it in town was pretty nifty, although it doesn't work when the elevator is going up.
