Someone counts AWARD finalists so you don't have to.

It's a bit of a mind-fuck trying to add this up correctly but, here appears
to be a scorecard :

Clemenger BBDO      6
Colenso BBDO        17
DDB New Zealand     9
MTC                 10
Publicis Mojo       11
Saatchi & Saatchi   15
WRC                 1

Note:   We have not included any external craft categories like photography,
illustration or original music entered by the agency.

Please feel free to count 'em yourself and post corrections.

And if you don't take out the craft categories just to suit you, the list reads...

MTC 17
COLENSO 16
SAATCHI 15
MOJO 14
DDB 9
CLEMS 5
WRC 1

In the original post we counted Art Direction and Copywriting craft nominations but omitted craft categories which are usually entered by those actually reponsible for the work, like film companies and composers and photographers. If anyone from the listed agencies did actually score music themselves, or light and expose the film, we apologise.

I think what "Josh" was trying to say was that the MTC lads must have directed, edited and did the cinematography for L&P, therefore those finalists should be inlcuded in their swag.

Think they may have done the idea too. Not sure though, might have been a freelancer.

of course we didn't direct, edit, score the music, cinematographise the ads...

The fact remains we are super stoked with our lot.
And Adams.
And Silverscreens.
And Liquids.
And as far as Im concerned they are all finalists for our client.

And that makes me feel pretty proud.

A great idea is not an ad. Its just the start of one.

And if we all gave more of a shit about the crafting of our ads - NZ ads (and possibly even yours) might be doing a little better than they are.

Oh yeah? Then what went wrong with Lion Red, Steinlager and Holden. Don't be such a cock. Ever heard of humility?
